Practice that meets your child where they are.
BrainTimez gives a child ten questions at a time, and chooses every one of them to sit just past what they can already do — hard enough to be worth doing, not so hard they give up.
How it works
Three steps, then it runs itself.
A parent sets it up
You create the account, give consent, and add each child with their age, school year and a four-digit PIN of their own.
Your child practises
They sign in on the phone with their PIN and answer ten questions. Get one wrong and the app explains it, rather than just marking it red.
You see what happened
Every question, their answer, how long it took, and whether they are actually getting better at that topic over time.
What's inside
Maths and English today. More to follow.
BrainTimez is built as a multi-subject app that happens to start with maths. Each topic has ten tiers of difficulty, and a child's level is tracked per topic — strong at multiplication and shaky at fractions is a normal, visible result.
The grading happens on our server
The answer is never sent to the phone before your child has answered. That keeps the score honest and means a lost connection cannot be turned into a better result.
Difficulty is never chosen by the child
Nobody farms easy questions for points. The app picks the level from how they are actually doing, question by question.
Topics unlock by school year
A younger child is not shown work they have not met yet, and every request is checked again on the server.
Where we are
Being tested properly before anyone is asked to trust it.
- In private testing. Not yet on the App Store or Google Play, and not open for public sign-up.
- No advertising, ever. There are no ads in the app and no third-party ad tracking in it.
- A parent sets up every child. A child profile cannot exist until an adult has created it and given consent.
- Comparison with other children is off by default. Leaderboards are opt-in, per household.
- Nothing is for sale yet. No prices are set and nothing in the app can be purchased.
